Cobourg Rotary Club
HarbourArts Show and Sale
Welcome from Roger Tessier, President of the Rotary Club of Cobourg
Serve To Change Lives is the theme for Rotary International for 2021/22. It is clearly also the mandate for Cobourg Rotary last year and this.
Cobourg Rotary has done a great deal to change lives by helping to put together the vaccine clinic, contributing financially to Ed’s House and Northumberland Hills Hospital, and so much more.
But it’s been a tough go for all of us in Northumberland County because of Covid.
Rotary HarbourArts Show
Rotary HarbourArts Show is back after being cancelled in 2020 and 2021. This year rain or shine, assembled under huge colourful marquee tents, will be a large display of juried, high quality arts and crafts.
Each year Rotary HarbourArts Show invites interested artisans to apply for exhibit space in the show and requires each applicant to submit photographs of their work to be juried.
The jury committee looks for originality and quality of workmanship and requires the item being submitted to be unique to the crafter. Mass produced or manufactured goods, items made from kits, and commercial goods are not accepted for exhibit and sale. This is done in an effort to ensure that the reputation of the Rotary HarbourArts Show is maintained, and that the show attracts artisans whose work is unique and of high quality.
The HarbourArts Show includes painters, sculptors, weavers, custom jewellery designers, potters, ceramists, woodcarvers, photographers, metal and stained glass artists, clothing designers and folk artists. They represent the best in their medium, and have met the high standards set out for participation in the Rotary HarbourArts Show. We invite you to spend a relaxing day visiting the craft exhibits and perhaps discover the perfect piece to complete your home, your wardrobe, or your gift shopping list. We are proud of our artisans and crafters and know you will enjoy your visit with us.
Join us for a great weekend of fun and entertainment if Ontario's Feel Good Town!
We anticipate large crowds this year so please consider taking our FREE SHUTTLE leaving every 30 minutes from the Northumberland Mall and Cobourg Community Centre.
